Meet Kimmy Johansen
What’s your professional background?
Kimmy: I graduated from UMKC in 2016 and dove into luxury property management for large scale multifamily buildings. Since then, I've obtained my broker's license and am able to use this background to assist all my clients whether that be residential or commercial real estate.
Do you consider yourself to have a specialty in this market?
Kimmy: Absolutely! I split my time between both the residential & commercial fields, so I would say I have a niche in both markets. In commercial, I typically assist clients with Office leasing and have a knack for facilitating the project management when it comes to building out a new space & tenant improvements. In residential, I gravitate to helping clients who are first time home buyers, and specifically wanting to search for more historic homes in the KC urban core.
Other than real estate, what are your passions around Kansas City?
Kimmy: I would consider myself an avid foodie & love trying new restaurants around the KC area. Outside of exploring new restaurants and bars, you'll typically find me on a hike with our three pups or kayaking a local lake in the summer time!
Dream house in Kansas City?
Kimmy: I aim to find my dream home in either the Westside or South Hyde Park area!
What do you think is coming down the pipeline with our spring market?
Kimmy: I believe this spring market will be more active than the last few years. I truly think the development happening in this city, specifically in the downtown area, will continue to bring more buyers into the city. I do think inventory will still be lower than we'd like, which will keep competition high over the next few months.
Final Meal, what we having/where we going?
Kimmy: This is a TOUGH question to answer as there are so many goodies, but I'll say this for my tride and true KC option. First, we are going to Mean Mule for before dinner cocktails and then to Earl's Premier for Oysters, Clam Chowder & a Lobster roll!
