Contract submission is your notice to the brokerage that you have an effective real estate contract, agency or leasing agreement, or lease with a buyer, seller, tenant, or landlord. Brokerages are required to have copies on file of all contracts within ten days of the effective date, in accordance with state law. Contracts not submitted in this time frame may be subjected to a $100 fine.
